Look out Manhattan...Here comes Kaela!!

We did it! We made it to NYC in less than 2 hours! We met with Dr. Waner and he was as facsinating in person as he was on tv!! As soon as he saw K he said, "You sent me her picture online...I remember her!" He loved her hair-do and said she was such a cutie. Then he began to evaluate her. He said that he is able to remove her H in one surgery and the way her skin has stretched is actually a very good thing! He said that this will allow for him to "create" a normal cheek for her. He will place her incision in her "smile line" and it would barely be noticable. He said if there is any scarring still visible a few years from now that he has performed amazing technology to completely remove any sign of the scar. He took us to his office where he showed us amazing before and after photos on a large flat screen tv of babies with Hemangioma's exactly like Michaela's. After seeing those children we truly knew this man is a miracle worker. We have a set date for her surgery which is Monday, August 24th. We still do have an appointment with CHOP Surgeons on July 13th and we will hear what they have to say. However, we are 99% certain that Dr. Waner will be the man to change Kaela's life forever.
