Only about 5 more days with Michaela's Hemangioma. As the weekend approaches it becomes more and more real that we are no longer going to endure the stares and ignorant comments. But it also means we will no longer be given the well wishes and kind words from some really great people.
Michaela's surgery is very bittersweet for me. While I know it is the best choice for her, I can't help but feel terrible knowing what she will be going through on Monday. K's surgery is scheduled for 9:30am in New York City. I will be getting the phone call Friday with the fine details of the day. Surgery is said to be 2 hours long with an hour of recovery.
For now we are just enjoying Michaela and keeping up with our busy regular schedule.
Had a great dinner and a fun time hanging with our cousins tonight! This was the last time they will ever see Michaela with her Hemangioma!!!
