Monday, August 24th was the big day!! We were all prepared and mentally ready to go! Kaela was being an angel after the 2 hour car ride! We got to St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital at 7:30am and at around 9:30am we were told that the doctor who would monitor Kaela's nerves during surgery was sick and rushed to the ER. This was very disappointing news to us. We were so ready. So psyched up. Then so let down. But I took a walk with Dr. Waner over to his office around the corner from the hospital and he made our next appointment for surgery-Thursday, August 27th at 10am.
